  What is PET resin or PET?
 
PET, which stands for polyethylene terephthalate, is a form of polyester (just like the clothing fabric). It is extruded or molded into plastic bottles and containers for packaging foods and beverages, personal care products, and many other consumer products.

 
บริษัท อินโดรามา เวนเจอร์ส จำกัด (มหาชน) เป็นบริษัทจดทะเบียนในประเทศไทย (ตัวย่อใน Bloomberg คือ IVL. TB) ผู้ผลิตโพลีเอสเตอร์ครบวงจรรายใหญ่ที่สุดของโลก ซึ่งครอบคลุมทวีปเอเชีย, ยุโรป อเมริกาเหนือ และอาฟริกา โดยผลิตภัณฑ์ได้รองรับความต้องการในการใช้อย่างหลากหลายรวมทั้ง อาหาร เครื่องดื่ม และเครื่องใช้ในครัวเรือน สินค้าเกี่ยวกับสุขภาพ ยานยนต์ เครื่องนุ่งห่ม และสินค้าอุตสาหกรรม ผลิตภัณฑ์หลักของบริษัทได้แก่ PTA, เม็ดพลาสติก, PET และเส้นใยโพลีเอสเตอร์ ซึ่งจัดจำหน่ายไปทั่วโลก IVL มีพนักงานประมาณ 9,000 คนทั่วโลกและมีรายได้รวม ปี 2554 6.1 พันล้านเหรียญสหรัฐ
